St Columba’s Catholic College Springwood Geography Excursion

Year 10 Geography travelled to Pyrmont on Wednesday 22nd Feb.

They explored a number of sites around Pyrmont. These sites demonstrated the changing urban nature of Pyrmont, exploring the concepts of urban consolidation, urban development, heritage and gentrification.

Students got to experience a range of Geographical skills, which are compulsory for the Stage 5 Geography course. It was wonderful to see Year 10 students engaging practically with the world around them.

Today at lunchtime, we welcomed Kiri and Pat from Endeavour Energy to the College as part of The Feed in the Quad. Students were excited to learn more about Endeavour Energy’s fantastic apprenticeship program, which has recently opened for applications. Kiri and Pat spoke with many interested students about the opportunities available and what a future career in the industry could look like. Thank you to Endeavour Energy for taking the time to ⚡ connect ⚡ (see what we did there?) with our students and share such valuable insights and advice. Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese
