Alaina McDonald (HSC class 2022) has her Visual Art major work hanging in the Art Gallery of NSW as part of the Artexpress exhibition.
The exhibition opened last week with an additional celebration of 40 years of Artexpress showcasing excellent major works from HSC Visual Art students. If you would like to see the exhibition, it is on until May 7.

A strong start and great spirit from our Year 7–10 PDSSSC boys soccer team ⚽️ The team kicked off the Gala Day with an impressive 2–0 win over Gilroy! Despite some close matches—0–2 to Santa Sophia, 0–1 to St Paul’s, and 1–3 to Patrician Brothers—the boys showed determination and teamwork throughout the day. Well done to all involved for representing the College with pride!

Brooke Thomas (Year 9) attended the NSWCCC netball selections on Thursday (29/5) and Friday (30/5) as an umpire. Brooke has since been selected to umpire for NSWCCC at the All Schools Netball Championships in June 2025. Congratulations Brooke!

Last week the St Columba's Catholic College junior girls football team competed at the PDSSSC junior girls football gala day. It was an exciting day, and the students played exceptional football. The team finished up with two wins, two losses and a draw. Well done to every member of the team for showing incredible spirit, sportsmanship, and resilience.

A huge thanks to the ever-supportive Fairose from The University of Notre Dame Australia who visited our students as part of our lunchtime talk series, The Feed. Fairose shared a wealth of information about all things UNDA, including course offerings and their fabulous Young Achievers Early Entry program. Thanks Fairose! Any year 12 students who would like support applying for the Young Achievers Early Entry program should consider attending the after school workshop for this specific program, which is being held on Thursday 12 June in the library.

Today students had the opportunity to learn from College alumni, Sean Hall (Class of 1996) who is an actor and also teaching artist at NIDA. Sean ran workshops with our senior drama classes and then stayed back to talk with any student who was interested in a career in all aspects of performing arts. Thanks Sean for being so generous with your time and sharing your expertise with our students - they all loved it!
